travels with Fio - London, Day 5

So since it was my last day in London, the lads convinced me to do something cultural so off to the maritime museum in Greenwich!! Unfortunatell, Lee was still in bad shape and he figured some liquid food (some equivalent of Ensure that the crackheads drink since they cant digest solid food) would help. Didnt work to well so he stuck his head out of the train for the breeze like your dog when you drive him to the vet for his rabies shot. But I admit he manned up once we reached outside and the 3 of us learned more about maritime history and Admiral Nelson than I thought possible. Stopped off for a quick pint and a salted beef (local delicacy that is quite tasty). We decided to take a boat ride up the Thames and train back to Finchley for a proper dinner of some good local Indian (we were tempted to stop at Chicken Stop again but were too full). Waiting at home was a bottle of Armagnac that Brian kindly brought back from the wine shop and we proceeded to drink half of it while watching some Denis Leary. Had to get up around 7 to drag myself and my liver to the airport and Continental was kind enough to change me over to a direct flight. Unfortunately, on the plane was the Children's Chorus of San Antonio and their chaperones and they had me surrounded like jackals on roadkill. Was able to manage by seeing some more fine cinema, Ice Age and Vegas Vacation this time but enough of that. It was a good trip with a lot of laughs and good amount of almost edible fried chicken. Wanting to wring my liver out like a wet sponge, Fio
