AFSP Logo Header

At an AFSP event several years ago, a woman was wearing a beautiful silver pin bearing the word "survivor". She received so many comments about it that we began to look for a jewelry designer that we could work with to create our own specially-designed remembrance jewelry. We found a wonderful artist in Massachusetts who creates pieces for a wide range of charitable causes, and worked with her to create our own "survivor" pin, as well as several bracelet designs.

The Survivor Pins are a quiet statement of dignity, strength, and courage. The Remembering, Healing, and Enduring Bracelets incorporate AFSP’s lifesaver charm (a symbol of hope) with sterling silver beads and soothing blue crystals. Survivors wear the jewelry as a proud important testament to their own survival, as well as a tribute to their loved ones. We have also learned that these pieces have been given to friends and family on important occasions to honor the strength and courage of surviving suicide loss. And a portion of the proceeds of all sales supports AFSP’s survivor programs throughout the country.

With the holiday season approaching, we hope you’ll visit the EK Designs website (click on “Causes Collection”) and consider ordering these beautiful pieces for yourself or someone you care about.

With best wishes for a peaceful holiday season for you and your family,

Take good care,

Joanne Harpel, AFSP Director of Survivor Initiatives, and
Mary Pat McMahon, Chair, AFSP National Survivor Council
